Our ceremony and celebration space is set entirely in the open air - surrounded by wildflowers, native grasses, and the wide Midwest sky. No walls, no ceiling, just the land doing what it does best.
We're a growing venue. A permanent event building is in the works, and we can't wait to share it when it's ready. For now, the field is the venue - honestly, it's hard to beat.
The Grounds -- meadows, slate, and golden-hour light
Ceremony spaces at Thistle and Slate Farm are shaped by the land, not manufactured. Couples can exchange vows in an open meadow surrounded by rolling countryside and the quiet presence of cattle grazing in the neighboring fields.The landscape is a blend of wildflowers, native growth, and working‑farm character — honest, unfussy, and beautifully Kentucky. With a permanent event building on the way, the farm continues to grow right alongside the celebrations it hosts.

Our daughters art
At 21, our daughter is a digital anime artist working toward her graphic design degree. She’s been drawing since she was a kid — over 15 years of characters, expressions, and world‑building — and she now creates custom commissions for fellow fans. Between helping on the farm, she spends her time drawing for fun or diving into her favorite games.
